i think as a new player, the skyscale AND griffon (mounts altogether) shouldn't even be on your radar in terms of things to obtain until much later. it's more of a long term goal and the drama surrounding the mount definitely started a chain reaction that got people overly agitated over something that was meant to be done in slow increments
